Let the Masters Begin....

That time of year again, the fresh cut grass of Augusta National being torn to shreds by the best of the best from around the world to compete in arguably the most difficult Major on the PGA Tour.

Who is going to put on the green jacket come Sunday evening? Will any member of he big 4 (Woods, Singh, Els, Mickelson) take home the championship, or will be be someone else? Your thoughts on this year's Masters and your predictions.

My best bet to win this years Masters will be Ernie Els. He has been playing very well this year, and came damn close to winning the Grand Slam last season, I think finishing in 2nd in 3 of the 4 majors. Ernie has played very well at Augusta in recent years and I don't see that slipping, especially if the rain keeps falling making the greens softer and slower...Els has a killer approach shot and can easily sink 10-15 ft birdies all day.

I'm rooting for Els! It would be cool to see Tiger and Els battling it out for the championship, that would really spark my interest back into the game!

Looks like it won't be Els and Tiger better suck it up or it won't be him either. DiMarco seems to be on a mission right now after last year.

It appears as if the flu bug got the best of Els this week...too bad too, I think he could have been in contention Sunday if he was healthy.

Woods and DiMarco, what a battle going on. Sunday playing the remaing part of Round #3 and the final round will be interesting. Bjorn is also playing very solid.

I just can't believe the turnaround Woods has done this week, after opening with a 74 on Thursday/Friday's 1st round. He just didn't seem comfortable, his rythym was just off, seemed like he was going to bomb it, but a 66 for the 2nd round, and going low with a 31 to open the front 9 of his 3rd round is remarkable. He is playing so well...I hope DiMarco can keep it up, he is cetainly playing well, though he has been know to choke in years past when he's had opportunities...PGA Championship at Whistling Straights and the Masters last year, where his final round 76 killed him.

As in any sport, it only takes one point to win. It doesn't have to be pretty. It just has to be.
