A Fresh Start

George Karl won his Nuggets head coaching debut in his old stomping grounds of Milwaukee. George has brought 80% of his teams to the playoffs. Can he reverse the fortunes of the under achieving Nuggets?

I think the Nuggets will turn things around. I agree with kevin that it is for sure a players league but I also think that Karl can bring out the most in them. He has been succesful pretty much everywhere he has coached and that will carry him a long way with respect from the players. Look for the Nuggets to play better the 2nd half of the season and step up in to a playoff spot. If they can secure a 6 or 7 seed we might see a birth into the 2nd round.

If I lived in Nevada I'd always lay money on the team who is playing their first game with a new coach. They always play well.

So far 2-0 under Karl. I think he'll bring an jumpstart to this under-achieving team, but I still think the Nuggets will miss out on the playoffs this season. right now they are 19-25 with 38 games remaining, they will need to be atleast 30-8 to finish out the season if they want a chance to make the playoffs. The Western Conference is just too tough for a team to be close to .500 and make the playoffs.

Nevertheless, a great pickup for the Nuggets. I think Karl's track record speaks for itself, and it's too bad we had to spend an entire month under Cooper waiting for a new coach. Weren't the Nuggets like 4-14 under Cooper? Not that I blame Cooper, but I wonder if Karl could have started lighting that spark a bit sooner?

Anyway, what the hell is up with the picture man? Looks like Anthony is about to give Karl something and Karl looks like he is about to accept it. Find a different pic!

The Denver Nuggets really do need a shot in the arm, they are for sure, an under achivement franchise.

It's good to see Karl in Denver- I agree with the sentiments of Steve, it's most likely too late to make a run for the playoffs this season, but if the team finishes strong and connects with their new coach- they should have a much more promising year next season.

The Nuggets are only 6 games out of the playoffs. It's not too late man with over 40 game sto play.
