Fantastic Four

It's down to the fantastic four. The Smash Mouth Defense of New England, The Battery Ramming Steelers of Pittsburgh, The Brotherly Loving force of Philadelphia & The Lighning Fast Falcons of Atlanta. The Patriots showed the Colts what the playoffs were all about and tought them a lesson on how to play when the game is on the line and every player of that team played as if they're careers were on the line. The Steelers who battled with the Jets to the end and are honestly lucky to be where they are because of two shanks by the Jets kicker Doug Bryan saturday. In the NFC you got the Falcons who looked like a unstoppable force to recon with. Finally the Eagles who stepped up they're play despite missing they're free agent impact player Terrel Owens.

The championship games are going to be like no other this year with 4 very different styles of football. Can the Patriots reign be stopped or are they just destined to continue they're dynasty. The Steelers got by the Jets by the skin on there teeth and will host the AFC championship against a team that is emotionally driven and have yet to be stopped for 2 years. The Falcons are going into war against the Eagles and will be matched up with a equaly fast defense that might be able to contain Vick.

I think I have been close to suicide around 5 times in my life and Saturday night was one of them. Have the Jets reached Red Sox/Cubs status yet as the lovable losers? I just hope we win enough games every year to keep Herm around, does anyone have better sound bytes? I actually punched myseld repeatedly in the beanbag as if it was Doug Brien's face...

yea I can't believe he missed that shit twice! I'ce noticed these kickers who been missing the past few weeks kicking from the right hash and being wide right! Why the hell wont they move the ball to the middle of the field then try to boot it. He would have won it the 2nd kick if he did so. Still for the Jets sake they are a well coached team and they faught hard and should have won. Freaking Kickers ruin everything! LOl. No but really the Jets are over achievers and they really impressed me this post season.

Too bad the Steelers will get booted from the playoffs next weekend. The Jets D showed up but the Offense must have been left in NY. Pennington's arm looked like a loose rubber band when he threw the ball. Who do you have winning in these two games?

Steelers will have to come up with some offense if they want to get by the Pats. Rothlesburger looked like a Rookie for the 1st time this year and honestly they shouldnt have won that game if it weren't for that dip shit kicker from the JETS.

Heck yea couldnt agree more. I hope Atlanta takes it all. I like seeing teams that are led by a great Quarterback. Kinda reminds me of another #7 who used to play.

I know football is in full swing right now, but keep an eye on Nash, Stoudemire and the Phoenix Suns. I was bummed to see Arizona State and former Arizona Cardinal Jake Plummer and the Broncos go down. Its nice to see a quality sports site on Blogger. Nice job.

My two cents....

As I sit here writing this with my fucking head throbing because Red won't stop harassing me about posting, even has James give me a call to get me to post, even though I am sick as a fucking dog...Ok, got that off my chest.

For starters, here is an interesting trivia question and I would love an answer on this as I don't know it. Since the NFL expanded the playoffs to 6 teams from each conference, how many times have the #1 and #2 seeds made the AFC and the NFC Championship game (obviously same year). The only occasion I could possibly think of this is when Denver won Super Bowl XXXIII. Denver was the #1 seed, not sure where NYJ were, but Atlanta and Minnesota (Minn #1 and I thought Atl was #2).

Here is another thought for you fantasy football players out there. The next time one of you morons ever attemts to say "less emphasis on the kickers" I'm going to punch you, then make you watch the Jets/Steelers game. Or the Super Bowl replay from the Bills loss vs the Giants, or I can probably name a quite a few more games.

As far as the games this Sunday are concerned, here are my thoughts. The Patriots will beat the Steelers. Both have great defenses, but I think offensively, NE is much smarter and more diciplined. Ruthlessbooger almost lost that game for you Steeler fans, and against that Jets defense (solid, but not quite the Pats), I would be shitting O'Brien footballs. Bilichik in my mind should have been the coach of the year, or atleast Cower, but Shotenstupid was as worthless as his playoff record.

The NFC, well, I'll tell you what I saw while watching this game in the hospital. The Vikings really shot themselves in the foot on a number of plays. Dropped passes, more stupid penalties, poor execution. I can't give praise to that Eagles Defense either because of those misques. Eagles offensively looked ok...against a poor defense. That amazing fumble bounce in the end zone to the patheitc coverage of the corners.

I'll tell you what, Atlanta won't be having those stupid mistakes. If the Eagles want to win, they better control the ball on the ground, eliminate the turnovers, and don't be so agressive on defense. If they blitz Vick all day, you know damn well Vick is going to escape and gain 10+ yards everytime. The Eagles have a very speedy defense, but that could really hurt them if they don't break down and control the line of scrimmage. Too many weapons with the Falcons to be overly aggressive.

Predictions. We will see Patriots vs Falcons in the Super Bowl with the Pats winning it.

Since all our previous predictions are out the window, might as well make new ones.

Hey guys as far as the NFC goes well my name says it all GO FALCONS.

AFC I am going to go with my boyfriend Cedric who is from Boston and go with NE.

As far as the Jets. Thats what you get when you hire a 18 year old as a kicker. What in the hell where they thinking.

An 18-year old kicker? What the hell are you talking about? Kaeding from San Diego is the rookie, but O'Brien is an 11-year veteran of the NFL, and an established kicker in the league, making over 81% of his field goals. In my opinion, that puts him in the upper echelon of NFL Kickers, especially when you consider that his 81% is better then the 79% career mark Jason “My kick is money” Elam has.

He just had a bad day! A Very bad day!

Atlanta is the only team left the 'Burgh hasn't beaten. And beaten soundly. I'd like to see those two in the Super Bowl.

My only concern is Pittsburgh's recent tendency to choke in the AFC Championchip game....
