Walked Away to a Win

There goes my Super Bowl selection from the NFC. Amazing what a turn-around in Moss' attitude when the team is actually winning. I was quite surprised to see the Vikings pull this one out, but you'll recall in my Playoff selections, I said "Their defense just has to play a touch better...basically not allowing Culpepper to toss for 4 TD's and 300 yards." What happened? Culpepper had 284 yards, 4 TD and 0 INT.

I think GB was the only real shot team to beat Philadelphia this season. But anyway, back to Moss. 4 receptions, 70 yards, 2 TD - what a game! And what the hell is up with that fro? Man, go get those braids back bro!

Well, Well... I am impressed by the Vikings play yesterday. I am extremely impressed with there defense as well. Randy Moss proved again that he is the best receiver in the NFL. It's funny that alI I hear about on sports radio is how Moss mooned the crowd and how much class he doesn't have. The funniest thing about it is that this is getting more recognition then Plummer's finger!

Chris Berman said last night that Randy Moss disrespected Lambeau. Who Cares! Keep him out of the end zone if you don't want to see that you damn cry baby's and as for the commentators that criticized his touchdown celebrations try criticizing Brett Favre's poor play!

Yes Randy Moss showed up and played his ass off for his team but this just proves my point that when the Vikings are losing Moss acts like a fool to his team and shows no class. When they are winning he is all about having fun and still acting like a fool, just not to his team.

Some of the antics that Moss displayed are unsportmanlike and are disrespectful and that happens to be problems for Red McCombs to take care of. Except Red seemed happy and hugged Moss on the sideline so obviously winning is all that is important to him.

Moss is obviously uncontrollable but in the same sense isn't Brett Favre? What was up with screwing his team out of three points by flipping the ball to Driver in the end zone after he passed the line of scrimmage to avoid a tackle or what about the 4 picks he threw to setup the Viking with easy scores...

So my conclusion is this: Plummer can flip the Bird, Favre can hand over victory's in Lambeau but Randy Moss can't leave a handed victory early or make gestures to a crowd without everyone crying about it....

Good point Jesse. Here's the problem - Moss has never won a Super bowl like Farve has. And Moss has continually done stupid disrespectful things to taunt the crowd or just to be a jackass, unlike Plummer. Plummer's finger was a one-time incident, whereas Moss has had story after story of dumb shit.

But you did say one thing right - if you don't want to see it, keep his out of the end zone. Same thing with T.O., if you don't want to see him celebrating, stop him. Unless you do, don't be surprised to see him doing dumb celebrations.

Farve has always been the type of quarterback that will either make or break the Packers. When he’s on fire, nobody can stop him, but then there are games like this. I can’t blame him for flipping the ball into the end zone, obviously a stupid mistake, but really, the entire team played like crap. The defense had no answer to the Vikings offense, missed opportunities by the Packers offense, fumbles, interceptions, and dropped passes.

Kind of amazing to see 3 of the 4 road teams get a 1st round playoff victory. Don’t be surprised to see the same thing this weekend when Pittsburgh, New England and Philadelphia get beat @ home.

I find your comments rather interesting. I didn't see the game because my wonderful employer feels it is absolutely necessary to make us work Sundays while the rest of the world, well...rests.

Anyways, if Moss "mooned" the crowd at Green Bay- then what he did is uncalled for. Is it surprising? Phuck no. Football fans know what to expect from Moss, and T.O., and other immature players, so it shouldn't be surprising, but it certainly isn't appropriate.

BTW- Plummer flipping the bird to the crowd is NOT the same as Moss mooning the crowd. I'll tell you why: Plummer flipped off his own fans. Plummer was having a bad game and was taunted by his own supporters. Is he justified in doing so- you can reserve your own judgement. Moss on the other hand, mooned opposing fans on their turf, upon a celebration. It's immature and reckless behavior. But, where they are the same is conduct. Professional athletes are fined if they show lack of integrity to the league standards.

Let me ask you this: If you were in Invesco Field, playing the Colts, and Marvin Harrison taunted and mooned you and the rest of the Denver fans- you would be begetting a post calling for his head. I find it rather surprising you find it okay for Moss to do the same to Green Bay fans.

That is why you keep those players out of the end zone. Plummer was fined for hid finger, Moss will NOT be fined for his mooning. If a Colts player did such a thing in Denver I would be pissed yes but that would never had happen because Tony Dungy has control of his players unlike Mike Tice.

Your correct that we shouldnt take this as any suprise what Randy Moss did. He is expected to do these type's of things I am just stating that the situation was blown out of poportion. I mean really who is Moss hurting by doing such a thing.

Certain players get away with certain things. it's been that way forever. If you play like your on another level you get treated like your on another level. If Marvin Harrison did such a thing I would say it was classless coming from him because he is not that type of person and second Dungy would have reemed him.

Ken - referring to your comment "I find it rather surprising you find it okay for Moss to do the same to Green Bay fans." Nobody ever said it was okay, not I or Jesse. We just don't find it surprising and we don't find it surprising that he is getting more critics regarding his behavoir because he keeps repeating himself.

You are right though, if anyone did this in Denver I would feel disrespected, but I never once said it was okay for Moss to do this.
