Would you trade for this baggage?

Can't deny his athleticism, but would you be willing to trade draft picks, money or even other players for his talent and his attitude?

As a Broncos fan, Yes I would take him and I would do whatever is neccisary to get him. Only because of the type of organization that the Broncos have because they would not put up with Moss's antics here. I think any good organization would take him. Look at Terrell Owens in Philadelphia or Corey Dillon in New England.

Now if Moss were to go to the Niners or Bears or some organization that is in such a bind that they would let Moss get away with all the antics it would not be a good situation for the team. Teams like the Patriots, broncos, Eagles even the Jets and Bengals. I think those teams would get the most out of Moss. In Minny it seems like Moss is just walking all over the front office and just does what he wants.

Here in Denver with Shanahan that shit wouldn't fly. No taking off plays, no wiping your anus on a post, well maybe that. As for the taking plays off and going half ass in preactice that won't happen. I think it would be in both best interest for Minny and Moss to part ways.

I agree that the Vikings and Moss need to part ways. As talented and athletic as Moss is, he really has overstepped his boundaries as a player and the organization has allowed this to continue to the point where it is unstoppable.

As a Broncos fan myself, as much as I would love to have a receiver of Moss’ caliber on the field, I would not want him here in Denver. I don’t think Moss will be able to have the same type of attitude here as he does in Minnesota, but I also think going from that type of organization (relaxed, being able to do as he pleases) to a more controlled environment, strict, very disciplined, will create a ton of problems. Sure Shanahan wouldn’t put up with his attitude and whatnot, but that doesn’t mean Moss won’t give it. So where would that leave Denver? Another Lionel Dalton, that’s where!

I think you have to look at he risk/reward of any trade or draft pick. Is the risk greater then the reward? Vice-Versa? I think in Moss’ case, the risk is greater then the reward. Knowing the type of attitude he brings and the excess “baggage” into an environment where that won’t be tolerated is just creating a whole new environment for flared up attitudes. I can see Moss taking plays off, or doing his “moon” dance in Oakland then watching Shanahan bench him…how much turmoil would that create?

Eh Jan, I don't know about your thoughts....I will agree the Broncos can't afford him, his salary cap # is too high, which will turn away most teams. But not a "worthy franchise" - and your Vikings are? I could see if your team was consistently winning the NFC North, making the Super Bowl, etc, but going 8-8 to make the playoffs? I'm not bagging on the Vikings organization, but when you bag on the Broncos, you only make yourself look foolish.

As far as Tice is concerned, I can agree with him getting the boot. I don't think it'll happen, atleast not this season. Unless McCombs has a change of heart, Tice is going to stick around.

Moss is the type of athlete that gets what he wants, like a TO. He'll cry and cry until he is traded, so I don't think he'll be a Viking for life. He doesn't stand a chance to win the SB there in Minnesota. My guess he'll end up in Baltimore or Arizona to be reuinted with Greene

Nice site. I am from Miami and would love to see him here as a Dolphin. I think Moss would like it in the sun and he has family here and a summer house. Look for moss to come here next season.

Jan, does it matter how many playoff games you win? Doesn't it just matter that you win the Super Bowl. Let me put it in other terms...what does your Vikings team and my Broncos team have in common? Oh yeah, they are both sitting on the couch watching the Super Bowl. I could care less how "far" your teams goes in the playoffs, doesn't mean crap unless they are holding the Lombardi Trophy...and what "pipe dream" are you talking about? Again, I said I would NOT want Moss here in Denver, so is my pipe dream of him not coming to Denver not going to come true, does that mean he will come to Denver?

Jan seriously, we appreciate your posts but we also respect intelligent posts with clear cut examples.

31 teams this season can't talk shit because only 1 will be holding up the trophy that matters, and it sure as hell isn't the Broncos or Vikings.

Being a Chiefs fan- I'd trade my entire defense for him. But, even that wouldn't be enough to get Moss. But, hey- it sure would clear a lot of cap space and KC could then build an entirely new defense.
