Homer or Bronco Anger?

I'll make this quick and to the point. Everyone else can post what they think and Steve can defend the Broncos, I mean himself. LOL

REGARDING BREES POST
Steve said...
I will simply say go Broncos! When Champ Bailey steps up and makes big plays watch how Jesse will start to praise him like he is a God again.

Steve also said...
Try having a post worth reading and making comments on. Who care how well the Charges are doing...every Denver fan knows this is a huge game, as well as every NFL analyst...where's the controversy or the "different perspective" as you call it?

Is he just playing Devils advocate or does he say what he really feels?

Steve said...
Yo Mike, glad to have you back! So you're saying that I kiss ass to the home team? HAHAHAHAHA...please read all of the posts and you'll see that I enjoy playing the devils advocate. In fact, if you knew anything about me at all, you would know that I am very critical of the "home team."

Bailey Excuses....
Steve says - Because if you know anything about defenses, you would have seen Lynch out of position on those deep balls. The coverage wasn't man to man, it's still a two deep zone with the safties which means Lynch needs to be beyond the receiver on any deep ball, which he wasn't! Sure Champ was burned, but me being a big guy can burn the hell out of you on snowy conditions because the offensive player has a HUGE advantage.
Also Refer to: Roller Coaster ride! Post then refer to this comment by Steve:
Lets take a closer look at what I mean by the two variables, then I’ll give my final conclusion. What I mean by personnel is simply who you have to work with. Sure Bronco’s are loaded at certain positions but if you really think about it…we aren’t! QB – Plummer, average arm strength, poor decision making, ability to scramble but has endured quite a few years in a pathetic offense.

Also refer to: Reuben! Reuben! Reuben! to see major Quinten Griffin Homerism. Just because Steve and him used to be room mates for a month or two.

Classic...guess it's time to defend my comments.

REGARDING BREES POST
yep, I said those things, and I said them because I thought the post was about the Bronco's/Chargers game, because on my 3rd comment I said “However, if we wish to change the stupid post to something talking about the Charges and the season they are having, then that would be a great discussion.”

So again I ask you, how do my comments in the BREES post make me a homer?

Regarding Bailey Excuse
Even in your quote I specifically state that “Sure Champ was burned” – I don’t see you calling Ken a “homer” as his post was describing the advantage the receiver has because of the snow.

I don’t see why you would put that comment about the Roller Coaster Ride in there, that only defends me. The post was about Plummer, actually I think that quote was from the Hot Seat post which was about putting Shanahan on the hot seat. I even said in that comment that the Bronco’s are as loaded as we think they are.

As far as the Reuben post, I was defending Q….but the post was about two Bronco players, so again I ask, how does this make me a homer?

Let me bring up some examples of posts that I made to this site. Don’t you think being a homer I would put stuff about the Bronco’s up?

Posts made by Steve:
Ricky Williams Jr. – a Post about Carmelo Anthony
And the T Trophy Belongs to…? - a Post about the Heisman Trophy
Reuben! Reuben! Reuben! Part Deax – Post about Reuben Droughns which I clearly state that I was WRONG about him, which contradicts your comments about my post in the original Reuben! Reuben! Reuben! Post
Brock From the Brink – Post about Brock Berlin, QB from U of Miami
What Happened to the…? Which is about the lack of defense being played in the NFL

But thanks for your specifics, we can now have a discussion about it - even though I think your reasons are clearly wrong which I tried to explain why they were wrong.

Wait wait wait, I get it now. I know why you are calling me a "homer" - it's because I may look like Homer Simpson...but in my own defense, I do have more hair then he does!

Mike from Arvada again - I have to say Steve isn't much of a homer. I think he just likes to disagree with whatever comment anyone makes. Don't know if anyone else noticed that but I did. Steve I really could care less what you think of my comments because you are probably just a fair weather fan. As for myself, I am a die hard Broncos fan but I have extensive knowledge about the game playing college ball for the Wyoming Cowboys from 1989 - 1991. I can obviously see you lack knowledge in the visual aspect of a defense and you should have been able to pick up that Bailey was in man coverage when he got burned by Porter and Lynch was in a help coverage to the other side where the X North Carolina football/basketball star Ronald Curry was lined up. You really should review what you are saying before you open your mouth.

Steve I must say by reading back on the other posts you seem to have a conflict with everything Red has said. I am sure you have always been a arm chair quarterback that has never played past little league because you were too small. As for myself you can look me up, I was a 2nd team all American lineman. I must admit one thing about your lack of football knowledge and that is you know how to argue a point and that will get you far with a bill collector or a nasty neighbor but for football talk it blows. If you have any other comments about my comments please feel free to dispute them.

Well Mike welcome to the board! Steve isn't too small so he might have had a shot to play in the pros, BTW what is your name so I can look your stats up?

The role of Devils advocate will be played by Steve today and always, and Snap judgements and Inductive Reasoning will be performed by the great RED! Go broncos,

-A humble fan.

Very nice Mike, but there you go again assuming things about people you really don’t know. You were right about 1 thing, I enjoy to disagree with what Red says. I do this for 2 reasons:

1) Boring if I agreed with everything he said
2) I’m just the kind of guy that enjoys to play Devil’s Advocate.

Fair Weather Fan? Ha, I don’t think so. I’m personally glad you could care less about what I think regarding your comments. Some of the best advice I’ve received in life is to never worry about what other people think about you because no matter what, not everyone is going to like you. This goes for my thoughts and comments as well, I just wanted some pure examples to back up your statements.

I’m a die hard Bronco’s fan myself actually, can’t say I’m a season ticket holder, but I know a couple of players personally, traveled to Green Bay to see them play against the Packers last season and Red and I will travel to KC this December 19th to watch them play at Arrowhead. I own many jerseys, but I guess you wouldn’t know how big of a fan I am since you know nothing about me.

Glad you brought your previous playing experience into this topic, now that you bring up defensive schemes it gives me a better understanding of your football knowledge. But I will have to correct you, Bailey was indeed burned 4 times (once in a zone in a goal line situation), twice when the safeties were to play a two deep zone and once, well, he just got smoked and the defense played as you pointed out where Lynch was cheating to Curry. If you want to discuss this further, I can make a copy of the plays on VHS and mail them to you personally, so before you open your mouth, perhaps you should review the plays!!!

As far as being an arm chair Qb, this is the problem with your comments to begin with. I don’t mind you disagreeing with my comments for whatever reason, but when you start to make assumptions about me, I will only fire back. For one, I could care less if you played for Wyoming or Colorado College, you brag about it like it’s a tremendous accomplishment. Two, I did play a little college ball myself in Illinois (and no, not small at all actually), so it’s much more advanced then your claim I didn’t play past little league, and 3, I did some high school coaching, defensive coordinator to be exact. Not that my experience makes me some extremely knowledgeable person, but the facts of the situations are simple. Speaking of bill collectors, I don’t have too much luck with them…can say the same for nasty neighbors. So my football comments may “blow” as you put it, but atleast when I give my opinion, I’m giving facts to back it up – right or wrong, I’m giving facts to prove my case. Your football talk has been trying to degrade me instead of trying to argue the points. From your first post, you insisted on making a personal comment to me and it has continued. This site is about sports, talk of sports, even when I disagreed with Red, the topic has been about sports. I’m not telling him he was “too small” to play college football for the high and mighty Cowboys, or he should have been at the game to understand it, blah blah blah, I’m a season ticket holder for 14 years, blah blah blah…

Now, if we can just keep it to sports that would be great…if you want to play football sometime, I’m sure my friends and I would enjoy getting together and beating your teams ass.

Mike

So why havn't you stated you name? You say you played college ball and you are a season ticket holder yet you won't be proud enough to state your name? As Steve said we can play some ball if you have any friends.

1st of all I am 37 years old and your challenge to go play football is a freaking joke. I would man handle your scrawny little ass all day. I was dominate in my time and maybe I am not as dominate now but I can still hang with the big boys. I received All American honors as junior until I blew out my knee so take a hike on that subject little man.

2nd of all Red I came to your side in this argument and now you are going to start questioning me. All you want to be football players always have something stupid to say about the game and quite honestly it is an embarrassment. When I stumbled across this site I thought to myself - Great some sports fans who are not afraid of speaking their minds. Steve failed to do so by personally attacking me and displaying a idiot like behavior. I have been a season ticket holder for 14 years and I am proud of it! You say you went to Green Bay and are supposedly going to KC yet you can't come up with a better excuse for your actions.

I hope I didn't offend anyone on this site and if I did oh well guess you will have to deal with me for a while. Steve you are a fair weather fan and always will be you shmuck! As for Red I am beginning to think the same of you.

HAHAHAHA....Mike - I suppose you're right. Since you received "All-American" honors from the great and grand university of Wyoming, that makes you much more knowledgable then anyone else. So with that said, I'll stop gagging and stop with the sarcasm.

Mike, not once did I personally attack you - since your first post, you made it a point to assume things about me that you have no idea about. You want to keep posting to this site, feel free, I think I speak for all of folks on this site that we appreciate your comments, however, we would appreciate comments that actually have merit. Do you know what that means Mr Big Time Football All-American stud?

And I also think I speak for everyone here that no matter what you can type out, you'll never offend me...even if you feel man enough to get a team together so we can play a game of football and talk smack to me all game, you still won't offend me. But if you feel necessary to think in your mind that you are indeed offending me, go right ahead. Whatever makes you feel more like a man.

As far as your football knowledge is concerned, I hope you are able to start forming your own theories and actually having examples to back them up, otherwise you are making yourself look foolish. I don't need to continue pointing it out, I think everyone else can clearly see it. But again, I don't care what you think, nor do you care what I think so now that we have that squared away, can you stop trying to pretend like your 14 years of season ticket holding and your All-American days at U of W make you a football genious?

Thanks Mike - I look forward to talking INTELLIGENT sports with you.
