Mighty Mighty Mickelson

This man is on a tear, after winning his first Major of his career last season, Mickelson has kept the scores low and the ball flying long. In a matter of 5 months, Mickelson has shot a 59, 61 and just yesterday a 62. Now has a comanding 5 stroke lead in the 2nd round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

How will he hold up for this golf season, will we get to see another Mickelson Major win? Your thoughts...

Has Phil Mickelson always been this good or is he just becoming this good now. If so why? I mean most great golfers are great out the womb, is there such a thing as a late bloomer in golf?

I don't think so - in order to have your Tour Card, your game must be consistent enough. Mickelson has always had a successful career, just without any majors until last season. Same thing with Vijay Singh, great career, but his game really took last off season - I think we are seeing the same from Mickelson. Just seem that every shot is working, even the mis-hits end up in great position. This is how it was for Woods during his stretch of greatness.
