Boxing KO'd



In a sport where it takes Mike Tyson to attract attention is boxing done as well as Mike Tyson?

I think as long as they keep promoting the heaveyweights the way they do it might be but I think with the congressional investagtion that Sen. Mccain (sp?) will hold might renew some intrest but until that happens yeah I think it's going to continue to tank but I think boxing overall needs to highlight it's lower weight divisons I'm not sure how they will do that but some of the lower weights are more exicting to watch.

But watching a classic match is kind of hard to find to today with all of the hype every match gets I think they get peoples hopes and when it's lackluster people get mad. So they need to market better as well.

Just ignore the heavyweight division. Christ, anyone who missed Gotti/Ward I-III isn't a boxing fan at all--there's still plenty of magic in the sqaured circle on the lower weight classes...

That is what it's beginning to look like but heavy weights has always been the main attraction in boxing. Hopefully a new star arises and can catch the eye of the fly by night boxing fan.
