Where Eagles Dare

Jamezwp brings up a good point from Febuary 05 when we discussed aquiring Jeff Garcia off of free agency instead of Jake Plummer. After a few rocky seasons in Cleveland & Detroit Jeff Garcia is making a great fit in a Philadelphia Eagles team who many were writing off after the injusry to star QB Donovan McNabb.

That is a good point because at the time Plummer had no experience in the west coast offense and Garcia was fluent in the lingo. Hindsight is 20/20 but the only concern that I have is I think Plummer is a more winning QB than Garcia. They are both average QB's who make their fair share of mistakes and throw picks.

The silver lining is that coach Shannahan had the guts to go after the future franchise player in Jay Cutler. Either Garcia or Plummer (obviously) would still play second fiddle to Jay Cutler so I say we did good with getting Plummer and almost making him a Champ.

Also think about this. AFC Championship last season Vs. The Steelers and Jeff Garcia playing QB. We could have our 3rd title in Denver as well if Garcia was the QB instead of Plummer.

I think we should acquire Garcia although he is a fag he can guide us if Cutler gets knocked like he did against the 49ers Plummer seemed uninterested in saving our season obviously his time is up here wish him well thank him for winning three out of every four regular season games and thanks for the 1 playoff win go Cutler
