After Katrina

Huge win for the City of New Orleans in dramatic fashion.

It's too bad that the Saints game wasn't played in Baton Rouge so the Louisiana fans could have celebrated. Opening week shows why the NFL is so wildly popular. Parity! There are no "Yankees" spending 4 times the rest of the league. Most "experts" picked Philly, Minny, Panthers and RAMS as NFC division winners, all LOSERS in week 1. Also, we can't put too much stock into week 1.
In 2003, the Patriots lost 31-0 to the Bills and went on to go 14-1 the rest of the season!

I am happy for the Saints, good victory for a team that plays pretty darn well on the road.

I don't think it'll be a headline story that the Saints make it to Detroit at the end of the season, but I'm glad, even if it was for only 3 hours, that those people who lost everything due to Katrina had something to smile about.

The Saints winning on opening day was great and wow in such dramatic fashion. I really think this team can give a run for a playoff spot if they keep there hearts on they're sleaves and keep playing this way. I lnow I'll be rooting for them this season.

For the record--the Yankees are simply playing by the rules. Don't hate the player. Hate the game.
