Denver Bound....

Not slated to be drafted higher than the 6th or 7th round, The Denver Bronco's took a huge risk on this player with the 101st overall, or the last pick of the 3rd round.

Honestly, I think this is a decent pick, Denver has had luck picking RB's in the later rounds, and let's face it, Clarett was just flat out a stud his freshman year at Ohio State. Sure his character since then has been useless, but that's something coach Shanahan won't deal with, or the veterans on the squad.

Don't quote me on this, but don't be surprised if you see Clarett get a lot of carries next season, even be a breakout type RB for the Broncos...he has the TD frame, a great north/south runner, powerful, strong and quick...I like Bell too, but Bell's size concerns me.

I give Denver a B- on this draft day, 3 CB's and Maurice...filled some needs, though we'll need a QB (LeFlors and Orton still available) and a receiver or two.

Steve! Well I must say it's a real bummer seeing Steve conceding like this. I know all you Devils Food Cake Advocate fans out there really wanted to see Steve rise a top the rubbage and pull one out for the bad guys but he I guess he has let you all down. He is saying he could care less about the topic because he knows he is defeated. Steve is actually a basketball fanatic as far as I know probably 2nd to football and golf. He was the biggest Larry Johnson fan in the world ( can't really spot talent) but never the less the argument did not really have to do with basketball but instead sports playoffs in general. It doesn't take a basketball guru to see that a low seeded team would be better off playing a weaker team in the early rounds of a playoff bracket.
It's the reason sports brackets are made up the way they are with the weaker teams facing off against the better teams in the 1st round because the better teams have earned the right to square off against a weaker team to get rolling through the playoffs and on to the championship where in a perfect world would see the better teams play. As a Nugget fan in there situation you want to see them face a team like the Sonics who are a 3 seed but a very weak 3 seed that the Nuggets could obviously dominate with all the injuries that the Sonics have. I'm done.

I don’t like to argue about things I don’t care about, Red has a hard on to try and prove me wrong, but here is what I don’t get…how can you prove me wrong on something I just don’t believe?

Here is what is boils down to…the simplistic version for idiots like Red who insist on making things much more complicated

1) Red believe that the Nuggets should face the Sonics because this will better their chances in the playoffs
2) Steve believes it doesn’t matter, because no matter what, we’ll have to beat a team like the Suns or Spurs in order to call the Nuggets the NBA Champions.

Who is wrong? Who is right? This is the question…does it matter? My belief is different than Red’s….and as I’ve said, I’m not a huge basketball fan, don’t pretend to be, so if you consider me wrong, then why make a huge deal out of my own thoughts?

Bring on the Sonics and why... An argument by RED & STEVE

Okay I had this talk with Steve about why I wanted to see the Nuggets win 50 games and how it will benefit the Nuggets. He is saying that it doesn't matter because we are in the playoffs and that it doesn't matter what team we play. This is what I'm trying to get him to understand but he can;t for some reason. It is better for the Nuggets to play the Super Sonics in the 1st round because we will be able to carry momentum to the next round where we might face either the Suns or the Spurs. Steve thinks we should play the the harder team in the 1st round because it doesn't matter. I believe what Steve is failing to realize is that the playoffs are not a race it's a marathon, there is a lot of games to be played and if the Nuggets were to face a team like the Suns or Spurs or even the Mavericks in the 1st round it would either be a loss to that team or at least a grueling drawn out series that could end up hurting us in later rounds. Read what we argued about in this chat session and tell me who sounds like a moron, or at least a Sport Junkie wanna be.

WOW, what a finish to this years first PGA major, the Masters! And the title of the tournament speaks for itself...masters of golf! Tiger's chip on #16 for a birdie was without a doubt the best shot I have seen in years, if not ever. Just between the lie, the notion that DiMarco was 15ft from a birdie, sitting 1 stroke ahead on Sunday during the Masters, and where he had to chip it, the landing area had to be perfect to the inch...unbelivable. I didn't think Tiger stood a chance after that opening round 74...is he back or what?
